From homeless to Harvard to Hawktown

Happy Birthday to my man Isaiah Kacyenski (b. 1977), a Seahawk from 2000-2006.

Kacyenski, a fourth-round draft pick out of Harvard, played linebacker, mostly in a reserve capacity, but really shone on special teams. He served as special teams captain for three consecutive years, including the 2005 Super Bowl season.

His personal story is inspiring. Born in poverty--at one point his family was homeless--Kacyvenski worked his way to Harvard and the NFL and is now a tech entrepreneur.

But the 12th Man mostly loved him because he liked to hit people.
