The new uniforms are hideous, and the Heater signed with New Orleans.
I'll probably get used to the uniforms eventually, but David Hawthorne is a versatile athlete, a solid leader, and a real loss for the organization. I'm officially worried about our linebacker corps.
I haven't seen enough images of the uniforms to make a definitive judgment on them, but the addition of grey (reminiscing the originals) can't be a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the linebackers...perhaps this is what they plan to address in the draft?
I didn't miss grey, but I do like some elements of the new uniform. The helmet looks cool, and I like the feather pattern neon green trim. I hate the number font and the Oregon Duck influence.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure we can find some good linebackers in the middle and late rounds of the draft, but can Carroll weld them into an effective unit without veteran leadership? Playing linebacker in the NFL is as physical but more intellectual than it is in college, as shown by Aaron Curry's disappointing career.
It's gotten to the point where it might make sense to offer a modest contract to Leroy Hill, whose judgment on the field is as sound as his judgment off the field is unsound.
